The annual auto show proved to be a teasing success as it promoted new car models and well preserved vehicles of the century. Hosted in Philadelphia at the Pennsylvania Convention Center located downtown, the 2013 Philly Auto Show was held from January 19th to the 27th.
A mass variety of vehicles were sported, including the 2014 Lexus IS Coupe painted in navy blue. Offering a sports coupe based on the LF-CC Concept, the newly designed Lexus IS out-shined Lexus’ other models in the crowded room. Protected by a handsome fellow dressed presentably in a suit, this beautiful monster of a vehicle elevated on a platform seemed to grin at the crowd as cameras flashed.
Volkswagen, not surprisingly, only offered minor improved versions of the Jetta, Beetle, and Passat. However, credit must be given to the German owned company for the all new beautiful 2014 Bentley Continental GT Speed accented in black with a bold front end.
Although dealers gave quite an impressing show, leaving visitors desperate for more, the dub show was hysterically astonishing. Owners stood by their outrageously priced cars as crowds of people fawned over hydraulics, suicide doors, 30 inch rims, and matte black paint jobs. Color schemes of black and green, black and orange, and even green and blue brightened the twinkle in onlookers’ glances. Although it is not seen very often here in Philadelphia, a monster truck, very intimidating in presence, was shown. Approximately three times as wide and four times taller than the average size sedan, it reigned over the entire dub event. What put the frightening in scary were the windows, extremely darkened in tint.
The 2013 auto show offered eye candy, as well as teasers with lines over a mile long filled with people waiting to take a ride on an excitingly designed course in new Toyota and Jeep models. The annual event comes highly recommended for those car adrenaline junkies and auto fixers.
